At Sarovar Balabharati , we did many activities during the two days summer camp. A bit about the activities we conducted.
Games. This will always be the most enjoyed activity for kids😃.
Songs: Kids learnt a new song that describes the beautiful nature in our nation. You can listen to the song on the following link. This version of the song has been sung by Kishore Bharti kids.
Dance: Kids enjoyed moving to this beautiful catchy song that talks about Bharat.
Resources conservation. We had a brief boudhik on this topic. Kids were asked stimulating questions and they came up with very interesting thoughts and ideas and also mentioned a few actions that they will take about conservation of resources. Will share more in a separate post.
Warli art craft.
We did this activity from the magazine. Introduced kids to this art form. They practiced on rough sheets and then on white sheets. It was indeed enjoyable to see their creativity and original thinking as they expressed their ideas through this art form.
We also did the tie and dye craft from the magazine. Introduced them to bandhani and a bit of shibori tying and dying techniques. Through this craft they were introduced to green concept of thinking differently about gift wrappers. Instead of using paper or cellophane wrappers for gifts, they can use fabric to wrap. So using the tie and dye method thru have all made a fabric gift wrapper. Parents can see it during the samarop session. This way they have learnt a new eco friendly idea for the world environment Day that is coming up.
Fireless cooking. This was also a fun activity where they made their own sweet and salty biscuit sandwiches. It was fun to watch them apply cheese and jam and enjoying it with friends. We also got to taste them. Some have said they will make it for their dads and moms at home. 😃
Overall it was a fun summer camp. Two days and six hours of bonding, sharing, caring, respecting, learning.🙏🏼
