Arekere Khand Summer Camp Report - Apr 18-24th


Balabharati Arakere Online Session- Week 3 (18th April to 24th April

Weekend Tasks was given to children as below

1.      Phases of Moon
2.      Essay on Panchang or Dental Hygiene.
3.      Learn Shlokas and Bhagwadgita 15th Adhyaya
4.      Learn the song “ Seeta Ram Charita Ati Paavan”
5.      Memorize the names of Tithis and Maasas in Hindu Calender.

Monday , 20th April

Gardening Skills - How to grow Micro Greens was taught to kids by Umaji . Kids really enjoyed the session. Here are some sample snaps of what they grew 







Tuesday, 21st April: 

A Bouddhik by Sri Ganapati ji about “ Why should we read the books on Mahapurush?” Sri Ganapati ji explained to our children how the life-stories of great people inspire us to follow their footsteps and also be proud of our rich heritage. He gave the motivating examples like Smt Madurai Chinna Pillai and Sri VO Chidambaram Pillai. He also narrated the great teachings by Sri Avvayyar. Ganapati ji aldvised children to share the books among themselves and develop the reading habit.

Shlokas – Children learnt 4 new shlokas this week by Smt Sruthi ji
A patriotic song , “ Hum sab Bharatiya hai” was taught by our Geet Shikshika Smt Nagarathna ji
Bhagwadgita 15th Adhyaaya practice was also done

Wednesday, 22nd April

Yogaasana – Smt Sonal ji taught new aasana called Titliaasan and Anulom-Vilom in Pranayam. She practiced the children Surya namaskar with their Sanskrit names.

Craft by Smt Hemangi ji – Hemangiji taught the children a vase for the flowers they had prepared in the first week. Children did a beautiful job of it.










Thursday, 23rd April.

Dashavatar, ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The boudhik was presented by Smt Ranjini ji along with a PPT presentation.

Panchang – Children learnt about 12 Rashis.

Friday ,24th April

The week was ended with a Quiz for 30 marks on the above topics learnt in this week.
Weekend task was given to children to memorize new shlokas, Bhagwadgita 15th Abhyas, names of Rashis, and Geet. Children have been told to write essay on “ Why reading is important?” . Coming week will be focused on Mahapurush stories to be narrated by children. 

Every day, children were given activities like, Everyday’s Panchang, stories from Panchatantra, Spontaneous talk on given subjects, etc.
